Very Revd. Prof. Vladimir Vorobiev

Yesterday we had the great honour to receive at our Vicarage and then at our new Church a Very Important Person, the Very Revd. Prof. Vladimir Vorobiev.

Fr. Vladimir is the Rector of St.Tikhon's Orthodox University in Moscow and came all the way from Russia to stay in England for only a few days, and thankfully he managed to pay us a visit.

He was accompanied by the General Secretary of the Fellowship of St. Alban and St. Sergius Fr. Stephen Platt (from Oxford) and other distinguished guests.

The Russian clergyman was pleased to see the great progress made by our Community and was also happy to see so many people working hard in the Church.

Fr. Anastasios introduced Fr. Vladimir to the President of our Community Mr. Pantelis Demosthenous and to the other members of the Community and Fr. Vladimir said some very nice words about the Greek culture that he had experienced at Mount Athos and Thessaloniki.

He also congratulated St. Panteleimon Community on the great success of building such a magnificent place of worship and asked the people to continue standing firm and hold to the Traditions and the Eastern Orthodox way of life.
