The crane is out...

Today was in some way a sad day.

We said good-bye to our “God” - the crane.

The “hand of God” is not staying with us any longer.

Its work has been done.

Thus, another crane (a movable one) came today to help dismantle the one which was placed on a concrete base in our building site a while ago.

Two engineers like acrobats were working up in the sky to break the crane into pieces.

Using poetical license let us paraphrase the great Greek poet Constantine Cavafis:

“There is no crane any longer.
And now, what's going to happen to us without a crane?”

We are all really grateful to such a technological tool which is of great assistance to human beings.
