Scaffolding is out

The interior is from today clear; the scaffolding has been removed, after the completion of the plastering.

The floor in the Sanctuary area as well as in the Soleas has been concreted and completed.

Now the scaffolding is not there anymore, the next stage will be the fixing of the under-floor heating as well as of the marble floor.

Holy Sanctuary floor

The Holy Sanctuary has now been concreted and elevated from the rest of the Nave.

The Soleas is changing slightly its original shape and it is getting ready for concreting as well.

The next few days this front part of the interior will be completed.

Sanctuary... live!

Although it is a snowy day today, our Church is filled with various kinds of experts working in different projects here and there.

Arches are being fixed on the Facade.

Electricians have put about 1000 tubes in place. Carpenters are organising the Solea.

Soleas

The “Soleas” is being prepared at our new Church today.

This is an elevated place, an extension of the Sanctuary.

The Soleas projects beyond the Icon-screen, forming a narrow walkway running the full length of the Icon-screen.

The two choirs of the Church are usually standing at either side of the Soleas.
