New lights

Lights are absolutely necessary to any kind of building, especially to a Church.
In our new Church we had chandeliers brought from Cyprus for the interior.
For the external walls and balconies we use normal lighting that we get locally.

Doves caged

The doves always liked our new Church. Sometimes white, other times black, but always here with us.

The doves are the symbol of the Holy Spirit. Therefore they are certainly important to us and very welcomed.

Our builders had recently decided to offer them hospitality and so they had place a cage in the balcony area, where they can come and stay there, have something to eat and make us happy by their presence.

Balcony

Works in the balcony are continuing.

The balcony in the Orthodox Church had various uses in the past.

During the Byzantine years that was the place where women should stand. That was only for social, not for theological, reasons.

Later on the choirs and the Sunday School had used this area.

Today it is just an extra place for any member of the congregation.
