Works on the 1st Floor

The extension on the 1st Floor of our Community Centre is almost ready. Hopefully at the start of the new School Year (beginning of September) it will be ready for use by our Educational Institutions (Nursery and Hellenic College).

Mimis, a Greek man from Consatntinople, works hard to ensure that the walls will be nicely decorated and will look perfect!

Pilling finishes

The pilling operation has been completed today.

The huge pilling engine is being dismantled.

Our new Church’s foundation is in place.

In the meantime the outdoor play area for our Community’s Nursery is coming on very nicely.

Outdoor play area

The Community Nursery had started its new school year yesterday.

It operates on the first floor of our Community Centre.

We are allowed to have 35 children at each time in the Nursery. Head-teacher is Mrs. Andri Kiriakidou.

OFSTED has requested an outdoor play area to be arranged for the enjoyment of the kids.

Mr. Costas Soteriou, Mr. Dinos Zorbas and his son Christos Zorbas were today working to prepare this area and cover it, so it could be usable even when it rains.

St. Panteleimon Nursery School

The Community Nursery was operating in the great Hall of the new Community Centre. Recently this Hall was transformed into a Church.

Therefore the Nursery will now operate in the classrooms of the first floor.

The Nursery furniture has been set up for this purpose.

A small area near the entrance is being dedicated as an outdoor play area, which is a requirement by OFSTED.

In the meantime the pilling continues under a very cloudy and moody sky.
